I made the chocolate version of this recipe and it was so good! The texture was amazing and it didn’t even taste super coconuty. This recipe is defiantly a keeper, I will be making it many more times!

Some people aren’t militant, but they ARE lactose intolerant and dairy products cause real stomach upset. It’s very nice to find this yummy recipe and have it be something we can actually eat.

I really like this recipe. The only thing I would change is the canned part — you probably need a safety warning there. Canned coconut milk either contains chemicals from the BPA coating or “BPA free” alternative coatings which are even more toxic than BPA. As far as I’m aware, there are extremely few brands who produce canned coconut milk and cream using safe methods. At least from what I read on the I Read Labels For You blog. Which is why I use powdered dry coconut cream, fresh coconuts, or make coconut milk in my blender from dried coconut shreds (which is watery in comparison but safe).
