Hi! Feel free to use your favorite crust recipe instead of the one provided. It’s just an option and you can easily use another that fits your preferred ingredients 🙂

In reply to Maria.

Sounds like this will be good like so many of your other recipes! I was wondering if there was an alternative to butter in the crusts. Maybe date paste? Sugar free syrup?

This is the best vegan cheesecake!!! I can’t even count how many disappointments I tried before finding this one. It really does taste like real cheesecake, not cashews, not tofu, not aquafaba or whatever else other bloggers claim tastes “just like cheesecake” but it never does. This one does!

Thank you! I so appreciate a DF cheesecake recipe that doesn’t use cashews. And this one is delicious! I finally made your recipe using Violife cream cheese alternative and So Delicious coconut unsweetened vanilla yogurt. Didn’t have a 9″ springform pan. Used a 7″ pan, instead. After following the cooking instructions, the consistency was soup–nothing firm at all. Thought it was due to smaller pan. Cooked it for another 15 min total…better, but still mostly soupy. Putting heavy trust in it continuing to firm up, i let it fully cool, then refrigerated overnight. By golly, it did! Topped with blueberry compote, it reminds me of the sour cream cheesecake my mom made when I was a child (my fave)!! Thank you for providing delicious dessert recipes with gluten, dairy, & sugar alts…you rock!!

I used Trader Joe’s vegan cream cheese and their cashew yogurt as well. I had it setting in the fridge for 7 hours and it still wasn’t fully set. So I left it in the fridge overnight. Still not fully set, so I placed it in the freezer for about 2 hours and this was perfect. I also bruleed some bananas with brown sugar in the oven broiler for a topping. What a great combo, I highly recommend!!
